Dan Walsh
Dan Walsh grew up in the Daytona Beach area and became a Christian when he was a senior in high school (class of '75). He was ordained as Sovereign Grace Church's first pastor by Brent Detwiler, a member of the Sovereign Grace Ministries Leadership team, in November of 1985. Dan's responsibilities at SGC include giving general direction and oversight, preaching & teaching, leadership training and care, and pastoral counseling. His hobbies include studying history and fiction writing. He's been married to his wife Cindi for 31 years. They live in Port Orange with their 2 children: Rebekah, age 23, and Isaac, who is 17.

Jesse Jarvis
Like Dan, Jesse grew up mostly in the Daytona area. He has attended the church since the age of 8. He came on staff fulltime in December of 2003. Jesse is a young man we believe has a clear call of God on his life. For the last several years, Dan has been training him and increasing his responsibilities in the church. This year we sent him to the Sovereign Grace Pastor’s College, and we expect him to return in June of 2008. Jesse and Tiffany were married in May of 2002. He is 26 and Tiffany is 24. When not at the PC, they live in Daytona Beach. And also, like Dan, Jesse is a surfer (but unlike Dan, Jesse still surfs and surfs well).

Danny Jones, Sovereign Grace Ministries Leadership team
Danny serves as senior pastor of Metro Life Church in Orlando, FL. He is responsible for providing overall direction and oversight for the church. Prior to the Start of Metro Life Church in 1985, Danny served as an associate pastor for seven years at Calvary Assembly, one of central Florida's largest churches. In addition to his duties at Metro, Danny serves on the extended leadership team of Sovereign Grace Ministries, giving care and oversight to the team-related churches throughout the state of Florida. He lives in the northwest part of Orlando with his wife Melodye and two of his four children, Lindsay, and Abbott. His oldest son, Jeremy, is married and serves as an intern on the Metro Life pastoral team. His oldest daughter, Praise, is married to Chris Dunlop (who happens to be Dan's nephew). Chris serves as a pastoral intern in our sister-church in Titusville, FL. |
Brent Detwiler, Sovereign Grace Ministries leadership team
Brent serves as a member of Sovereign Grace Ministries church-planting team. He oversees a number of team-related churches on the eastern seaboard. As Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs for the Pastors College in Gaithersburg, MD, he provides theological training for upcoming and existing leaders. He also edits and writes for Sovereign Grace Magazine, a publication of Sovereign Grace Communications. He is based at Crossway Community Church in Charlotte, North Carolina where he lives with his wife, Jenny and their four children in the University City area of Charlotte. |
